ABBYVILLE - Lorene Virginia Johnson, 88, died March 22, 2010, at Leisure Homestead in Stafford.

She was born Feb. 27, 1922 at Ellinwood to Charles and Anna Malcom Kasselman.

She was an Abbyville community resident since 1944, a member of Plevna Community Bible Church and homemaker and farm wife.

On March 14, 1942 she married Ralph W. Johnson in Hutchinson. He died Nov. 23, 1997. She is survived by three sons and their wives: Ron and Roxanne, Abbyville, Darrell and Paula, Platte City, Missouri, Ray and Beverly, Plevna, foster son, Mike Najjar and wife Teresa, Anderson , South Carolina; two brothers, Wayne Kasselman, Hutchinson, Don Kasselman and wife Chris, Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Agnes Duncan, June and husband Gene Schwartz, all of South Hutchinson; eight grandchildren, two foster grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerry and Kenneth Kasselman and sister, Marjorie May.

Funeral will be 11 A.M., Thursday, March 25, 2010, at the Plevna Community Bible Church in Plevna, with Pastor David Green presiding. Burial will be in the Abbyville Cemetery. She will lie in state at Elliott Mortuary on Tuesday, 5 to 9 p.m., and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, and the family will greet friends also on Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott's.
