Loretta V. Havercroft Barnes, 91, died May 11, 2008, at Hester Health Center at Wesley Towers, Hutchinson. She was born March 27, 1917.

On Aug. 21, 1941, she married Glenn E. Barnes. He died July 3, 1988. Survivors include: a brother, Harry Havercroft, Eugene, Ore.; four sisters, Melva Jefferies, Eugene, Ore., Kay Hornibrook, Corvallis, Ore., Pauline Rear, Junction City, Ore., and Gwen Carriere, Aurora, Ore.

Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday May 14, 2008, in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday May 13, 2008, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County, or the Reno County Food Bank, both in care of the mortuary.
