Loretta J. Hendrixson's Obituary
Loretta J. Hendrixson, 81, died Oct. 31, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Oct. 11, 1926, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Hermon O. and Laura G. LacKamp Mattenley. She graduated in 1944, from Hutchinson High School. A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, she was a retired secretary and treasurer for First Congregational Church, Hutchinson.
She belonged to First Congregational Church, National Letter Carrier Auxiliary, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, and the Delos V. Smith Senior Center.
On Dec. 1, 1945, she married Arthur C. "Art" Hendrixson in Hutchinson. He died Nov. 4, 2003.
Survivors include: a son, the Rev. Dr. Joe M. and wife, Bobbie, Topeka; a daughter, Jill A. Blough and husband, Brian, Frederick, Md.; and seven grandchildren, Lyndsay Jo Chisholm and husband, Matt, Caleb Hendrixson, Jennifer, Jeannette, Jeremy, Jason, and Jessica Collins.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Congregational Church, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.
Memorials may be sent to the First Congregational Church, or the Church World Service, both in care of the mortuary.
