Lorna Isabel Yadon Proctor, 88, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born July 22, 1923, the daughter of Percy and Alice Bowman, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. She was a homemaker.

Lorna is survived by her children and their spouses, Richard and Mary Yadon of Arvada, Colo., Estelle and Terry Renberger of McPherson, Kathy and Bob Helfrich of Hutchinson; stepchildren, Betty Dirks of Wichita, Ed Proctor of Oklahoma City, Okla., Terri Bratcher of Yuma, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews in Australia. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Kenneth Yadon and William Proctor; a son, Steven; a brother, Mervyn; and a sister, Stella.

Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at Elliott Chapel, with Chaplain Bob Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson. A register book will be available to sign from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of the mortuary.
