Lou Ann Welch, 64, of Hutchinson, died November 22, 2018, at her home. She was born January 1, 1954, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Robert and Anna Marie (Loewen) Cheek.
Lou Ann was a 1972 graduate of Hutchinson High School and worked for many years as a CMA at Wesley Towers and Mennonite Manor before becoming an overnight house manager for TECH. She loved playing cards and telling jokes. Lou Ann was a member of CrossPoint Church.
On November 13, 1972, she married William D. 'Bill' Welch and they had been estranged. Lou Ann is survived by: husband, Bill; daughter, Tracy Clark (Kyle), Robstown, TX; son, Jason Welch (Dena Noe), Wray, CO; grandchildren, Justin, Shelby and Levi Clark, Zachary and Trinity Welch; stepsister, April Heckel (Richard), Lyons; sister-in-law, Cindy Welch, McPherson; uncle and aunt, Ron and Evelyn Ogle, Hutchinson; nephews, Ricky Heckel and Eric Woodmansee; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by: her parents; stepfather, Harry Hause; grandparents, Cornelius and Anna Loewen; and niece, DeeAnna Heckel.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 30, at CrossPoint Church, 1410 E. 30th Ave., Hutchinson. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
