Luann Hamel, 68, died Oct. 16, 2013, at Mennonite Friendship Communities. She was born Jan. 14, 1945, in Beloit, to William Harrison and Della May (Allen) Henderson.

On May 28, 1964, she married Wayne Roy Hamel in Hutchinson. He survives.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Cathy Brandyberry and Tammy Duvall (Ernie), all of Hutchinson; two sons, Douglas Hamel (Laura), Carl Junction, Mo., and Bryan Hamel of Hutchinson; sister, Janet Wisehart (Kenny), Downs, Kan.; two sisters-in-law, Marianne Henderson of Talala, Okla., and Bonnie Diers (Enos) of Cawker City, Kan.; brother-in-law, Jarold Hamel of Clay Center, Kan.; eight grandchildren, Christina and Wade Brandyberry, Mindy Jenks, Macy Gideon (Tony), Morgan, Easton, Conner and McKenzie Hamel; and many nieces and nephews. Luann was preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers; and a sister.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Bob Dalke officiating. Burial will be in North Inman Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday, with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary.
