Luchendia "Lou" Vanhoose Sauers' Obituary
Luchendia "Lou" VanHoose Sauers, 86, died May 13, 2008, at the Hutchinson Hospital. She was born Feb. 15, 1922, at Fairland Okla., to Bob and Myrtle Hill Hunter.
She had worked 10 years for Beardslee's Fabrics and then the Singer Co. for 12 years, retiring in 1985.
On Aug. 17, 1939, she married Joe D. VanHoose in Miami, Okla. He died Oct. 20, 1983. On May 17, 1985, she married Roy Sauers. He died Feb. 11, 1998.
Survivors include: two sons, Wiley and wife Beulah, Abbyville, Charles, Hutchinson; grandson, Clay VanHoose, Hutchinson; and three great-grandchildren, David, Tamara and Jacob.
She is preceded in death by a grandson, Michael VanHoose.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Lyons Cemetery, Lyons, with Pastor Keith A. Dellenbach presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
