Lucile G. Cline, 86, died Oct. 8, 2013, at Via Christi, St. Francis Campus, Wichita. She was born Oct. 20, 1926, in Eureka, Kan., to Clarence James and Aldah Mabel Stevens Gilkison.
She was a 1944 graduate of Hutchinson High School and a 1948 graduate of Kansas State University. Lucile taught home economics in Leon and Macksville. She later was an Extension Home Economist in Stafford, Sherman and Pawnee counties for over 20 years. She returned to Hutchinson in 1975 and then moved to Wichita in 1993. She was a member of First Christian Church and later became a member at Park Place Christian Church, Hutchinson. Lucile was also a member of the HHS Alumni Association and a charter board member of HHS Alumni. She married Oral Raymond Cline on March 22, 1957, in Goodland, Kan. He died in 1967. Survivors include: son, Gary Cline and wife Veronica of Douglass, Kan.; grandchildren, Landon, Zachary and Brittney Cline, all of Douglass. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Ima Mabel Johnson.
Following Lucile's wishes there will be a private family graveside service with Reverend Dr. Kim Biery presiding. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday through Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
