Lucille L. 'Mickey' Klatt, of Hutchinson, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Hester Care Center, Hutchinson. She was born July 13, 1927, in Nickerson, the daughter of Eldon and Myrle (Pike) Moorman.
She was a 1945 graduate of Nickerson High School. Lucille retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1982, with 23 years of service. She worked the switchboard for the Kansas State Fair from 1982 to 1996. Lucille was a member of the Nickerson United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, Silver Leaf Chapter #464 Order of Eastern Star, American Legion Women's Auxiliary #68, and Women of the Moose #1371.
She married Guy Lynn Klatt on February 28, 1948, in Nickerson. He died February 4, 2002. Lucille is survived by: children, Mike (Dorothy) of Kimberling City, Missouri, Marla Bourassa (Douglas) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lynnette Brown (Steve) of Baldwinsville, New York, and Dennis Swinney(Cheryl) of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Jeremy Brown, Tyler Brown, Colby Brown, Brett Bourassa, Brandon Bourassa, Melissa Gutierrez, Amanda Swinney, Brian Senogles, Brent Senogles; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by: her parents; grandchildren, infant Christopher Brown and Christie Klatt; and sister, Helen Magoffin.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2018, at Elliott Chapel, with J. Stephen Brown presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 12 to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
