ARLINGTON – Lucille Lynette "Lyn" McLaurine, 56, died July 8, 2016, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born March 7, 1960, in Hutchinson, to Darrell D. and D. Lucille (Roush) Keller.
Lyn graduated from Fairfield High School in 1978, earned a bachelor's degree from Sterling College in 1983, and received her master's degree from Capella University. She worked for TECH, as a special education teacher in Kentucky, Rudyard, Michigan, and for the Reno County Educational Cooperative at their Transitional Learning Center. Lyn also enjoyed working as a massage therapist at the Village Place in Arlington.
On Sept. 5, 1987, Lyn married William "Bill" McLaurine Jr., in Arlington. He survives. Other survivors include: son, Jack and wife Deveney of Arlington; mother, Lucille, of Hutchinson; brother, Jeff Keller and wife Patty of Haven; grandsons, Bryant and Russell McLaurine; a special aunt, Lois Guthrie of Midland, Texas; nephews, Daniel, Andrew, Michael Keller and companion, Cassie Woods; nieces, Jamie Keller, Katie Canter and husband Blade; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lyn was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Larry Olson officiating. Burial will follow in Iuka Cemetery. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, with the family present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
