Lucille Moore went to be with her Savior, Wednesday, December 23, 2009.
She was born January 18, 1925 at Haven, Kansas, to George and Bertha Freed Dawson.
She was a 1943 graduate of Hutchinson High School and attended Hutchinson Community College. She belonged to First Baptist Church, where she was a deacon and a Sunday school teacher for 25 years. She had been president of Faris PTA several years, a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, and an Avon salesperson. She retired from Century 21, Warren Schmitt Realtors after a career in real estate.
On Oct. 10, 1943, she married John E. Moore in Hutchinson. He survives.
Their children and spouses include: Connie and Darrell Douglas, Emporia, Barbara and Bill Dodd, Wichita, Debbie and Gregg Blew, Denver, Larry and Vicki Moore, Jerry and Margaret Moore both of Hutchinson; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Dawson, and two sisters, Mabelle Bloesser and Beulah Brownlee.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2009, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Pastors Stephen Taylor and Tyler Vance presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
