Lucio Gerard Garcia, 36, died at his home Sept. 23, 2015, Hutchinson. He was born Feb. 9, 1979, in Lyons, to Lucio Florez and Peggy Christine (Appleby) Garcia.

He was a medical aide for Lindsborg Bethany Home, Lindsborg. Survivors include: children, Jeffery Adame, Melissa Garcia, Matthew Garcia and Salena Garcia; father, Lucio Garcia and wife Susan of Hutchinson; siblings, Angelita Marin of Grand Island, Neb., Jennifer Garcia of Windom, Alisha Garcia of Hutchinson, Aaron Garcia of Hutchinson, Justin Harter of Stafford, Jeff Harter of Junction City, Jeff Myers of Haven. He was preceded in death by: his mother, Peggy Shaffer and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Burial will be at a later date in Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Monday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at Elliott Mortuary.
