Luella Mae Gaeddert, 93, died Sept. 15, 2007, at Pleasant View Home, Inman.
She was born Sept. 21, 1913, in Abbyville, the daughter of Edward J. and Mary Krenzin Oyer. A lifetime resident of the Abbyville Community, before moving to Pleasant View Home in December 2001, she was a farm wife and homemaker.
She attended Medora Community Church. Her hobbies included needlework, quilting, making doilies and embroidery projects. She taught children's Sunday school classes most of her life, starting when she was 14 years old.
On Nov. 22, 1936, she married C.L. "Kurt" Gaeddert at Sterling Missionary Church. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons and their wives, Gerald and Doris, Abbyville, and Wayne and Marjorie, Osawatomie; a daughter, Martha Caywood, Hutchinson; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Oyer; three sisters, Dorothy Krauter, Thelma Mussleman and an infant sister; and a son-in-law, Ronnie Caywood.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastors Wayne Johnson and Dan Dalke presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Buhler Municipal Cemetery.
