Obituary

Lus Flores, 92, died Dec. 24, 2010, at Promise Regional Medical Center. She was born Feb. 23, 1918, the daughter of Antonio and Luisa Pena Perez. Lus was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She was a mother, homemaker and the last surviving co-founder of the Anchor Inn Mexican Restaurant.
On March 15, 1932, she married Antonio H. Flores in Dodge City. He died Dec. 28, 2001. Survivors include: 10 children, Antonio Flores Jr. and wife Rachel, Daniel Flores and wife Carol, Larry Flores and companion Connie Johnson, Gregory Flores Sr. and wife Susan, Linda Vieyra and husband Trunkalino, Cruz Marquez and husband Tony, Jane Amaya and husband Santos, Delores "Lola" Flores and Cynthia "Cindy" Flores, all of Hutchinson, and Rosie Landron and husband Edward, Miami, Florida; 39 grandchildren; 93 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a very loved pet companion, Molly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio H. Flores Sr.; a twin son, Gary Allen Flores; daughter, Celsa Flores; granddaughter, Lisa Vieyra; great-great- granddaughter, Nevaeh LeShore; three brothers, Marcos, William and Cipriano Perez; and a sister, Margarita Perez.

Rosary will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at the church, with Fathers Ned J. Blick and Brian Nelson presiding. Friends may call 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
