Lydia E. Griffith, 90, died May 28, 2010, at Good Samaritan Center, Hutchinson.
She was born Aug. 22, 1919, in Ellis, to Gottfried Henry and Karolina Rottler Kolb.
She was a Hutchinson resident since 1950, moving here from Great Bend. She was a retired clerk for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. She retired in 1979. She was member of Zion Lutheran Church.
On Aug. 27, 1941, she married Hugh Griffith in Great Bend. He died March 28, 1972.
Survivors include: a son, John, and wife Barbara Griffith, Lorton, Va.; a brother, Gottfried Kolb, Waco, Texas; and a sister, Emma Kolb, Hays.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Robert L. Albin, Good Samaritan Center Chaplain, officiating.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to Zion Lutheran Church in care of the mortuary.
