SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Lynda J. Galemore, 61, died Aug. 25, 2009, at Via Christi St. Francis Campus in Wichita.
She was born June 16, 1948, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Clive and Merla Gregg Cunday. A life-long Hutchinson area resident, she was a CNA at Mennonite Manor in South Hutchinson. Prior to that, she was a beautician. She was a 1966 graduate of Nickerson High School.
She was a member of the Nickerson United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed crocheting and going camping with her husband.
On Sept. 1, 1979, she married William Bruce Wilson in Nickerson. He died Oct. 14, 2003. She later married Jerry Galemore on Nov. 26, 2004, in South Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: sons Chris W. Wilson, Topeka, and David Galemore, Hutchinson; daughters Sheila Powers, Augusta, and Lori Tafolla, Gladstone, Mo.; her parents Clive and Merla Cunday, South Hutchinson; a brother Robert Cunday, Mt. Hope; a sister Grace Clark, Columbus, Ohio; six grandchildren; and two very special nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m., Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, with Rev. Phil Fischer and Rev. Linda Toms presiding. A graveside service will be 11 a.m., Monday at the Galemore Family Cemetery at Humboldt. A visitation will be Friday 1 to 9 p.m., and the family will greet friends 7 to 8 p.m. also Friday, all at the mortuary.
