Lynn Buell, 59, passed away Aug. 23, 2014, in Columbus, Neb. He was born Dec. 2, 1954, in Atchison, Kan., the son of Vernon and Iris (McLeod) Buell. He was a 1973 graduate of Hutchinson High School. He worked at Collins Bus Corp. for 38 years. The last several years he was in the engineering department. Lynn was inducted into the Reno County Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

His hobbies were the love of rock and roll, playing his bass and electric guitar, watching the Kansas City Royals, drag races, and adding to his sock monkey collection.

Lynn shared 30 years with his wife, Jennifer (Karches) Buell. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather.
He is survived by: his wife, Jennifer Buell; children, Dannielle Cole, Brett Buell, Kristen Buell, all of Hutchinson, Jeff Strausberg, Goddard, and Bryson Strausberg, Buhler; grandchildren, Ashlyn "Monkey Girl" Whitt, Brylee Cole, and Hunter Cole, all of Hutchinson; brothers, Dale Buell, Columbus, Neb., and Bill Buell, Wichita; sister, Ruth Buell, Maize; and his "Little Dog", Kaydee Buell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Iris Buell.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Bob Phipps officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday thru Friday at Elliott Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of Elliot Mortuary, 1219 N. Main St., Hutchinson, KS 67501.
