M. Yvonne Mammel McConnell Josephson, 97, died March 2, 2024, at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson.  She was born April 10, 1926, in Belpre, KS, to Norman J. and Olga L. (Lindgren) Mammel.

Yvonne graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1944, and Adela Hale Business College.  She worked as a bookkeeper for various banks and later in her career, managed Garden Grove Apartments.  Yvonne was an experienced shopper, but her greatest accomplishment was her two daughters. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hutchinson.

In September 1943, she married Kenneth E. McConnell.  Their marriage ended in divorce.  On August 15, 1963, she married Jack L. Josephson, in Hutchinson.  He died September 25, 2009, after they shared 46 years or marriage.

Yvonne is survived by:  daughter, Sandra K. "Sandy" Zwick (Gary) of Sterling; stepsons, Jerry Josephson (Vicki) of Hutchinson and Jeff Josephson (Doris) of Olathe; six grandchildren, Michelle, Barbie, Brecken, Zach, Chelsey, and Cody; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; sister, Eloise Hawver, daughter, Nancy McConnell; and granddaughter, Megan Josephson.

Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson, with her nephew, Jerry Hawver officiating.  Friends may sign her book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.  Cremation has taken place.
