M. Lavetta "Rusty" Braden, 69, died Jan. 29, 2007, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
She was born March 8, 1937, in Zenda, the daughter of Claude W. and Marjorie L. Amerine Braden. In 1955, she graduated from Grant County Rural High School, graduated from Southwestern College in Winfield in 1959, and graduated as a registered nurse from Ventura County College in 1980. A resident of Hutchinson, she was a registered nurse at Hutchinson Hospital.
She belonged to Motor Maids, a motorcycle riding group. She was very active with the Hutchinson Area Cancer Support Group "Victory in the Valley," and was also very active supporter of the Hutchinson Kennel Club.
Survivors include: her mother, Marjorie L. Braden; a sister, Genell Kirk, Hutchinson; and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
A private family service will be at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to the Hutchinson Area Cancer Support Group "Victory in the Valley," or the Hutchinson Kennel Club in care of the funeral home.
