Mabel C. Kiene's Obituary
Mabel Constance "Connie" Kiene, 95, died Feb. 20, 2007, at her daughter's home.
She was born April 6, 1911, in Sheerness, Kent, England, the daughter of Alfred G. and Lydia Mabel Broadhurst Jenks. A resident of Hutchinson since 1951, she was a secretary for Bermuda Gas and Electric for 23 years.
She belonged to the Church of England.
In 1934, she married S.B. Saam in Bermuda. He died in 1942. In 1947, she married William V. Kiene in Bermuda. He died Aug. 5, 1958.
Survivors include: a daughter, Vicki Ediger, Hutchinson; a grandson, Kory Ediger and wife Heather, Lenexa; and two great-grandsons, William and Evan Ediger, both of Lenexa.
She was preceded in death by a son, Van Kiene.
Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be at a later date in Highland Park Cemetery, Kansas City.
Memorials may be sent to Park Place Christian Church or Hospice Care of Kansas, Wichita, both in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
