Mabyn Margaret Roberts' Obituary
Mabyn Margaret Roberts, 100, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at Good Samaritan Center, Hutchinson. She was born March 21, 1913, in Brock, Neb., to Jesse L. and Kathryn Garber Haith.
She married Harold Finley Roberts on June 9, 1935, in Hutchinson. He died March 3, 1984. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, was a Life Master Duplicate Bridge player and volunteered at the Kansas Cosmosphere for over 25 years. Mabyn was the co-owner with her husband Harold from 1946 to 1967 at their business Roberts Sporting Goods and Roberts Mens and Boys wear.
Other survivors include: son, Jay Roberts and wife Lois of Topeka, Kan.; daughter, Kathleen Woods and husband Phillip of Lenexa, Kan.; grandchildren, Clay Dickason, Chad Dickason and wife Mirela, Robert Sloan, Victoria Sloan Jordan, Kathryn Sloan McCormick, and Sandra Sloan; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, at Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Pastor Jim Rhaesa presiding. Casket will remain closed and there will be no public visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
