A joint graveside service for both James "Jim" Byron Goodwin, 80, who died October 4, 2015, and his wife, Madeline "Louise" Goodwin, 77, who died July 8, 2019, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Fairlawn Burial Park, 2401 Carey Blvd., Hutchinson, with Pastor John Frey officiating.

They were married November 2, 1958, in Lyons.

Jim and Louise are survived by:  sons, Jamie Goodwin and wife Sheryl Van Drie-Goodwin of Columbia, MO, Terry E. Goodwin of Norton; brother, Don Smith; nephew, Richard Lee Smith; niece, Donna Chase; great-nieces, Brandi Chase, Samantha Willard, Carly Smith; great-nephew, Tanner Smith; and granddaughter, Mischa (Terry's daughter); dog, Teddy; and cat, Dolly.

They were preceded in death by:  their parents; Jim's sister, Margie Donaldson; Louise's brother, Lee Roy Smith; Jim's infant sister; brother, Crago Goodwin; granddaughter, Rachel Louise Goodwin; dog, Chloe; and cat, Thomas.

Friends may sign their book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays at Elliott Mortuary.  Memorials for both may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS  67501.
