HAVEN - May Belle "Maybelle" Kiker, 84, died April 8, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Center in Hutchinson.
She was born July 11, 1925, in Chickasha, Okla., daughter of Orval Esta and Elma Leora Jackson Kelley.
She was a lifelong family caregiver; owner/operator of Kiker's IGA in Haven, for 30 years. She belonged to United Methodist Church in Haven.
On Mar. 17, 1942, she married Ralph Milton Kiker, Sr. in Altus, Okla. He died Jan. 21, 1992.
Survivors include: son, J.R. Kiker, Hutchinson; daughter, Judy Clark and husband Jerry, Hutchinson; brother, George Kelley, Wichita; sister Margaret Williams, Haven; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Bob Kelley.
Maybelle was lovingly known by her family and dear friends as "Grandma Quicker" and "Auntie Belle."
Memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at Haven United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Susan Wickiser presiding. There will be no burial as cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, Sunday and Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
