Maebert Main, 83, died Feb. 9, 2007, at Hospice House.
She was born Nov. 29, 1923, in Sedgwick, the daughter of Jesse E. and Furilla Mae Hare Cox. A longtime Hutchinson resident, having lived prior in Dodge City, and Fort Wayne, Ind., she was the manager of the former Moose Lodge swimming pool and worked for Taco Grande for more than 20 years.
She was of the Christian faith, and belonged to the Women's Auxiliary of the Moose Lodge and Eagle's Lodge.
On Sept. 19, 1944, to William Harrison "Buck" Main, in Fort Wayne, Ind. He died Sept. 22, 1998.
Survivors include: a son, Mark and his wife, Julie, Hutchinson; two daughters, Carolyn Poole and her husband, Bob, McPherson, and Kathy Bogner and her husband, Floyd, Burrton; a brother, Jesse Cox, Hutchinson; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, William L "Bill" and Robert L. "Bobby" Main; and her stepfather, Jack McGehee.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Penwell Gabel Memorial Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Pastor Curtis Coombs presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family present from 5 to 6 p.m.
Memorials may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, or to Hospice of Reno County, both in care of the funeral home.
