MaLisa Ann Porter, 42, died Nov. 3, 2015, at her home in Hutchinson. She was born Oct. 30, 1973, in Winfield, to John Philip and Donna (Ritter) DeLozier.
She was a former member of Central Church of Christ in Wichita and, more recently, a member of St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Hutchinson. MaLisa was involved with Music Theatre of Wichita, which she thoroughly enjoyed for many years. She was a medical assistant at the Kansas Orthopedic Center and was a member on the Hunter Health Clinic Board.
On Nov. 24, 2012, MaLisa married Paul Porter in Hutchinson. He survives. Other survivors include: her mother, Donna DeLozier of Derby; brother, Jay DeLozier of Cape Fair, Mo.; sister, Angie Morrison and husband Reece of Springdale, Ark.; mother-in-law, Lois Porter of Hutchinson; sister-in-law, Jennifer Eckberg and husband Ed of San Antonio, Texas; nieces, Ashlyn Kennedy, Autumn Grace Morrison, and Samantha Eckberg; and a nephew, Jacob Eckberg. She was preceded in death by: her father and father-in-law, Richard Porter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Hutchinson, with Father Mike Maybrier presiding. Burial will be in Clearwater Cemetery, Clearwater. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
