Manuel L. Bruch, 73, went home to be with his Lord on Oct. 22, 2011.

He was born Nov. 26, 1937, in Kingman, to Harry A. and Rose A. Robbins Bruch.

Manuel graduated from Kingman High School in 1955, graduated from Hutchinson Community College and attended Fort Hays State University. He was a retired superintendent of the central garage for the City of Hutchinson and farmed for 19 years in Kingman. Manuel was a retired Army National Guard SFC, certified C-130 flight mechanic, and had a private pilot's license. He was also a member of Countryside Baptist Church.

On Oct. 7, 1961, he married Sandra Yarberry in Kingman. They celebrated 50 years of marriage together. She survives.

Other survivors include: children, Tony L. Bruch and wife Melody of Hutchinson, Brett Allen Bruch and wife Allison of Mount Hope, Cynthia C. Bruch of Hutchinson, Jeremy Loren Bruch and wife Jessica of Hutchinson, Nicholas B. Bruch of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Chris Bruch, Chris Wedel, Hannah Bruch, Jacob A. Bruch, Jacqualine Bruch, Anthony Hodges, Alexis Crawford, Delaney Bruch, Kaylan Mulligan, Levi Friars, Jacob E. Bruch, Elijah Bruch; great-grandchildren, Connor and Jerad Bruch; and sister, Marjorie Newland. Manuel was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Janet.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at Countryside Baptist Church, 819 W. 30th, with Pastor Victor Halfmoon officiating. Burial will be in Hoosier Cemetery, Kingman County, with military honors conducted by the National Guard Honor Guard. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with the family to receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
