Marc Allen Moyer, 64, died May 7, 2011, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.

He was born Sept. 8, 1946, in Wellington, Kan., to Laurence Donald and Laveda Lee Stephens Moyer.

After graduation from Partridge High School in 1966, he spent the remainder of his life working as a farmer and stockman. Marc was a kind and giving person who was always there to help others. He acted as a caregiver to his injured father until his death and for his mother until his own passing. He had a great love for his nieces and nephews and they had a great love for him. Marc was a good son, brother and friend who will be missed by those who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Laveda Moyer of Partridge; brothers, Donald Moyer of Fort Calhoun, Neb., Carl Kent Moyer of Sanford, Fla., Denis Moyer of Hutchinson, and Dale Moyer of Blue Springs, Mo.; nieces and nephews, Kim McKenzie, Chad Moyer, April Moyer, Amber Driskell, Todd Moyer and Laura Hill.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, with family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2011, at Elliott Mortuary, with the Rev. R. Samuel Askew presiding. Interment will be in Argonia Cemetery, Argonia, Kan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Victory in the Valley or Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of the mortuary.
