Margaret L. Dicks' Obituary
SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Margaret Lillian Dicks, 79, died March 1, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born June 2, 1927, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Clifford Robert and Mable Aillen Peterson Lewis. She graduated from Hutchinson High School and attended Salt City Business College. A lifetime resident of Hutchinson and South Hutchinson, she was a retired cashier and buyer for Westlake Hardware.
She belonged to South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, Women of the Moose Chapter No. 1371 and was a life member of Credit Women International of Hutchinson.
On Sept. 30, 1946, she married Donald Green in Turon. On Feb. 2, 1964, she married John L. Dicks in South Hutchinson. He died Aug. 21, 1973.
Survivors include: three sons, Jerry L. Green, South Hutchinson, Tommy L. Green, Topeka, and Robert L. Green, Wichita; a stepson, Mike Dicks, Kansas City, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Richard E. Zimmerman presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to Women of the Moose No. 1371 or South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, both in care of the mortuary.
