Margaret Elaine Fehrenbacher, 101, died August 23, 2023, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born March 11, 1922, in Moscow, KS, to Harold and Ila (Lindsey) Cadman.

Elaine graduated from Moscow High School and was an insurance coordinator for Kinsley Hospital for many years.

She loved reading, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and watching Jeopardy. Even at 101 years young, was a very sharp lady. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening.

On February 14, 1944, she married Howard Eugene Fehrenbacher, in St. John, KS. They shared 58 years of marriage, prior to his death on August 20, 2002.

Elaine is survived by: children, Lonnie Fehrenbacher of Larned and Marita (Randy) Fisher of Wichita; grandchildren, Kevin, Dena, Maranda, Caradee, Landry, and Lindsy; 18 great- grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Schryl Fehrenbacher of Kingsville, TX.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Larry; daughter, Rosemary; grandson, Travis Fisher; and seven siblings.

Per Elaine's wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life service will be announced by the family at a later date. In charge of arrangements, Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
