Margaret Marie Hamby, 67, died Aug. 31, 2008, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.

She was born Feb. 2, 1941, in Eureka, the daughter of Charles Sr. and Lillie Dossey Caylor. A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, she was a retired custodian for Hutchinson Community College.

On Dec. 5, 1955, she married Gilbert "Gib" Hamby in Wichita. He died Jan. 5, 2004.

Survivors include: sons, Scottie and wife, Roxie, Hutchinson, and Bobby and wife, Nita, Valley Center; daughter, Carol Capps and husband Robert, Wichita; sisters, Letha Roets, Goddard, Martha Lord of Nebraska, and Bonnie Belote, Nickerson; 10 grandchildren, Misty, Bobby Jr., Valeen, Amanda, Jessica, Matthew, John, Breanna, Destinee and Willa; and four great-grandchildren, Tyler, Hayley, Connor and Rylee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant brother, Charles Caylor Jr., and sisters, Marion Howard, Betty Petrie and Donna Stahl.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Eldon Smith presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the mortuary. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
