Margaret L. Hill, 97, died April 28, 2012. She was born Sept. 19, 1914, to John E. and Veronica Miller. She taught school before her marriage at Riverton Rural School and after her marriage at Fairmount Rural School and later substituted at Partridge Grade School. She was a member of Partridge Community Church since the 1940s and very active in Church Women United.

She married H. Hensley Hill on Aug. 1, 1937. He died April 26, 1972. The couple farmed in the Partridge community. She is survived by sons, Donald Hill and wife Barbara, Partridge, Robert Hill and wife Patricia, Partridge; grandsons, Richard A. Hill, Wichita, Robert W. Hill and wife Jessica, Santa Clara, Calif.; great-grandsons, Kirby and Ripley Hill, Santa Clara, Calif.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and five siblings.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Partridge Community Church with Reverend R. Samuel Askew officiating. Private family inurnment will take place. Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.
