Margaret Alice McClain Graber, 89, of Hutchinson, died Nov. 27, 2016, at Brookdale of Hutchinson. She was born Feb. 18, 1927, in Kingman, to Roy F. and Ruth (Kabler) McClain. She graduated from Kingman High School in 1945 and attended Pretty Prairie United Methodist Church, where she taught Bible school. Margaret worked for Lowen Corporation and retired after 21 years.
Margaret married Joe Graber on July 23, 1948, in Kingman. They later divorced.
Survivors include: son, Doug Graber and wife Kim of Hutchinson; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Powers of Burlington, WA; and sister-in-law, Stella Graber of Pretty Prairie. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bradley Joe Graber; and brother, Norman McClain.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Kim Biery presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Delos V. Smith Senior Citizens Center or American Heart Association in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
