Margaret E. Opdyke's Obituary
Margaret Ellen Opdyke, 98, died Aug. 24, 2007, at Hospice House.
She was born July 5, 1909, in Attica, the daughter of W.D. and Parie Kinion Stuart. A longtime resident of Hutchinson, she was a homemaker.
On Sept. 5, 1951, she married Howard E. Opdyke in Hutchinson. He died Oct. 8, 1996.
Survivors include: a brother, Oscar Stuart and his wife, Bea, Arlington Heights, Ill.; a son-in-law, Raymond Crismond, King George, Va.; three grandchildren, Sharon Hall and husband, Tom, Calabash, N.C., Linda Johnson and husband, Don, King George, Va., and Kenneth Crismond and wife, Debbie, Charleston, S.C.; six great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a great-nephew, David Young and his wife Margaret, Hutchinson.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Smithey; a daughter, Ellen Crismond; brothers and sisters; and a granddaughter, Conni Andersen.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Sara Davis Blodgett presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Partridge Cemetery.
