Margaret A. "Peggy" O'Gara, 77, of Hutchinson, died Feb. 24, 2012, at her home. Peggy was born Feb. 18, 1935, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Clifford Belmont and Marian Ruby Johnson Durham.

She was a homemaker and retired L.P.N. She was a 1953 graduate of Hutchinson High School and received her nursing degree at Pratt Community College.

Peggy married Alan "Yankee" O'Gara on April 22, 1983, in Breckenridge, Texas.

Survivors include: three sons, Ricky Love of Pineville, La., Ronn L. Love, and Michael Schoepf, both of Hutchinson; a daughter, Vickie Cooper of Hutchinson; three sisters, Marian Lundquist of Hutchinson, Donna Dennington and Ginger Wimberley, both of Breckenridge, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at Fairlawn Burial Park with Chaplain Bob Phipps presiding. A register book may be signed from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorial contributions may be made to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center Auxiliary or the Hutchinson Animal Shelter, sent in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
