Obituary

Margaret Rose "Peggy" Beer, 67, died Friday, March 25, 2016, at her home. She was born April 4, 1948, in Ellsworth, to Loren and Rita (Klenke) Mooney.

Peggy graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Salina in 1966. She then attended Fort Hays State University. She was active in the Central Kansas Polio Survivors Support Group.

Peggy married Robert D. "Bob" Beer on Aug. 14, 1981, in Tulsa, Okla. He survives. Peggy is survived by: children, Angela Mooney-D'Arcy of Venice, Calif., Andrea Beer of Nickerson, Robert Mitchell Beer of Hutchinson; two grandchildren, Teran Quinn Beer and Caden Carter Faucett of Nickerson; sisters, Lorita Havel of Sherwood, Ore., Lois Jordan of Olathe, Kathy Camp of Sullivan, Ill., Theresa Shafer of Greensboro, NC, Karen Gangwere of Hutchinson, Eileen Carnell of Hutchinson, Carolyn Mooney-Johnson of Abbyville; brothers, Steve Mooney of Lawrence, and Tom Mooney of East Setauket, New York; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her four beloved kitties, Winnie, Yankee, Joe, and Flower. She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2016, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, with the family to greet friends from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
