ARLINGTON, Texas - Margaret Martinez Sterns, 84, died March 21, 2013, at her home in Arlington, Texas. She was born June 10, 1928, in Hutchinson, to Luis and Elvira (Magana) Martinez.

Margaret graduated from Hutchinson High School, Hutchinson Community College and Grace Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at Hutchinson Correctional Facility, Hospice and Homecare of Reno County, and retired from Ray E. Dillon Living Center in 2007.

Margaret is survived by: children, Paul Raya and wife Joyce, Daniel Raya and wife Renee, Susan Mora and husband Lawrence all of Hutchinson, Mark Raya of Wichita, and Joanne Raya of Arlington, Texas; brother, John Martinez of Goddard; sister, Lucille Vieyra of Hutchinson; 19 granddaughters; one grandson; and 44 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Serafin "Jack" Martinez, Joe Martinez, and Luis Martinez Jr., granddaughter, Rachel Ann Mora, and great-grandchildren, Ava Espinoza, and Carlos Mora.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, with Father Nicholas Voelker officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9p.m. Tuesday.
