Margaret Rose Thiessen, 89, of Hutchinson, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Brookdale Senior Living Center, Hutchinson. She was born June 5, 1927, in McPherson County, to Gideon and Emilie (Goering) Stucky. Margaret graduated from McPherson High School in 1944. She was baptized in 1942 at Eden Mennonite Church and was a member of First Mennonite Church, Hutchinson.

On Sept. 11, 1949, Margaret married Edward A. Thiessen. They were married for 52 years, until his death on Jan. 7, 2002. They owned and operated a dry cleaning business in Cheney and were caretakers of Camp Mennoscah in Murdock. She also worked in central supply at Hutchinson Hospital.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; brothers, Paul Stucky and Willard Stucky; sisters, Linda Oberst, Sarah Daum, Martha Stucky, Bertha Reimer, Mary Doerksen, Elizabeth Belknap; and son-in-law, Larry Werner.
