Margaret Unruh, 100, died May 10, 2009, at Good Samaritan Society, Hutchinson Village.
She was born May 17, 1908, in Rosthern, Saskatchewan, Canada to Aaron A. and Katherina Well Friesen.
On October 22, 1926, she married Julius Unruh in McPherson. He died November 6, 1975.
A resident of Hutchinson since 1956, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Hutchinson Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Elvin Unruh, Smithville, Mo., and Eldon Unruh, Kansas City, Mo.; seven daughters, Evelyn Kling, Hutchinson, Elda Regehr, Tucson, Ariz., Emma Dunbar, Hutchinson, Erma Murray, Kenasaw, Ga., Ella Redford, Gardner, KS, Erna Roberts, Hutchinson, and Elaine Storlie, Merriam, KS; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Edith M. Unruh, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two brothers and six sisters.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Robert L. Albin officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the Good Samaritan Society, Hutchinson Village, in care of the mortuary.
