Margie M. Brown, 87, of Hutchinson, died April 25, 2016, at Hester Care Center. She was born Oct. 19, 1928, in Moundridge, to Calvin and Elsie (Fensky) Hoffman.
She married Jack W. Brown on July 16, 1945, in Burdette. Jack died April 16, 1982.
Margie was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Sew and Sews Quilting Club. Margie was a craftsman at Silver Dollar City before her retirement.
Survivors include: daughters, Georgia Taton, Boulder City, Nev., Jo Glass, Hutchinson; sons, Bill Brown and wife Donna, Surf City, NC, Stan Brown and wife Lucy, Nolensville, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Margie was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; infant daughter; son-in-law, Keith Taton; three brothers; and three sisters.
Memorial graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Mound Township Cemetery, Moundridge, with Pastor Jeanine I. Rishel presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
