Margie Darlene Knoche, 87, passed away January 22, 2021, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.  She was born January 15, 1934, in Larned, to Byron W. and Zelma Louise (Gagnebin) Cooper, Sr.

Margie was a 1952 graduate of Abbyville High School.  She was a member of the Abbyville Extension Home Unit (EHU) and a Girl Scout leader.  Margie was also a member of the Abbyville Community Church.

On May 31, 1953, Margie married Darwin Craig Knoche, in Abbyville.  They shared over 67 years of marriage.

She is survived by:  her husband, Darwin Knoche of Abbyville; children, Melody (Mike) Runyon of Nickerson, Belinda (Mark) Ward of Kansas City, MO, and Craig (Sheila) Knoche of Abbyville; sister, Sue Bascom of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Taylor (Caressa) Runyon, Chase (Kristin) Runyon, Craig Ward, Micaela (Scott) Finlayson, Steven (Jenny) Knoche, Hannah Knoche, and Jarid (fiancée, Christina Leroy) Ward; and great-grandchildren, Taysen Runyon, Cailynn Runyon, Madison Runyon, Sterling Runyon, Somer Ward, Ross Ward, Jude Finlayson, Bodhi Finlayson, Skylynn Leroy, Hunter Leroy, Willow Ward, and Kaxton Knoche.

Margie was preceded in death by:  her parents; brother, Byron W. Cooper, Jr.; and granddaughter, Daci Runyon.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Abbyville Community Church, 201 W. Avenue G, Abbyville, with Pastor Dale Levering officiating.  Burial will follow in the Abbyville Cemetery.  Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2021, at Elliott Mortuary, and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Abbyville Community Church, with the family present.  The wearing of masks and social distancing is encouraged.
