Maria Castellon-Garcia

Maria De Lourdes Castellon-Garcia, died May 30, 2026, at her home. Maria was born February 26, 1971, in Mascota Jalisco, Mexico, to Rosalio Castellon and Maria De La Luz Sanchez.

Maria moved to Oceanside, CA, to live with Diane Montanez and family before living with Francisco and Josephina Reyna, grandparents to Maria’s children. She attended Oceanside High School and Ocean Shores Continuation School. In 1987, she moved to Kansas and later married Rigoberto Garcia in Hutchinson. She worked in housekeeping at Hilton Garden Inn, Wesley Towers and Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed listening to Mexican music, dancing, watching all kinds of movies, and most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.

Maria is survived by her husband, Rigoberto Garcia; children, Josephine, Javier Jr, Maria Isela and Miguel Reyna; grandchildren, Zaydie, Arie, Aza, Emma, and Willa; and the rest of her Reyna family and friends in California.

Cremation has taken place. Please join us Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 3 pm until 5 pm, at Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N Main St, Hutchinson KS 67501, for a gathering hosted by Rosie Reyna. Friends may sign her book daily 9 am until 5pm.
