Marie Hunt, 99, died March 26, 2009, at Mennonite Manor, South Hutchinson.

She was born April 5, 1909, in Hutchinson, the daughter of John A. and Cecelia F. Olson Wallsten. She attended Ijams School. A resident of Hutchinson, she was a homemaker.

She was a member of Loyal Order of Moose #982 and Elks Lodge #453.

On Aug. 4, 1927, she married Samuel E. Hunt. He died Oct. 28, 1997.

Survivors include: nephews, Leonard and Jim Wallsten; niece, Margaret Beavers, all of Hutchinson; several great-nephews and nieces and their families.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Wallsten; five sisters, Ruth Stiles, Bernice Bewley, Anna Lindamood, Wila Wallsten and Grace Schlupp; and nieces, Marilyn Avery, Helen Love and Bobbie Lowry.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mennonite Manor Chapel, South Hutchinson, with Pastor Howard Wagler presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
