Marilyn Grace Dovel's Obituary
Marilyn Grace Dovel, 71, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012. She was born March 6, 1940, at Spokane, Washington, the daughter of Wiley and Margaret Melba Smith Stewart.
She was a 1958 graduate of Halstead High School and attended Salt City Business College. Marilyn had worked for Bell Telephone Company, had been a sales clerk at Pegues and a caseworker at the State of Kansas SRS office.
On June 6, 1959, she married Delmar G. Dovel in Hutchinson. He died Nov. 2, 1995. Their two sons survive: Jeff and Greg, both of Hutchinson; one brother, Ken Stewart, Grove, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Stewart.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at Lerado Cemetery, with Pastor Luke Helmuth officiating. Her casket will remain closed. A register book will be available 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Home Healthcare Connection, in care of the mortuary.
