Obituary

Marilyn Kay Hageman, 63, died Oct. 26, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Center.

She was born Feb. 16, 1944, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Ivan Charles and Barbara Arvilla Byerly Randles. She graduated in 1962, from Alden High School. A longtime Hutchinson resident, she was a secretary for USD No. 308 at Farris Elementary for seven years, and Graber Elementary for 14 years, and then worked for Tresses Hair Salon for two years.

She belonged to Countryside Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir, a treasurer, hostess chairman, and financial secretary for the church. She also was a member of the Red Hat Society.

On July 29, 1962, she married Ronnie Herriman in Raymond. He died July 25, 1969. On Aug. 1, 1970, she married Charles E. Hageman in Hutchinson. He died July 7, 2005.

Survivors include: a son, Charles Ian, Hutchinson; a brother, Monte Randles, Springer, N.M.; two sisters, Nelda Emery, Hutchinson, and Lois Wenzel, Hutchinson; a brother-in-law, John Hageman, Wichita; and three sisters-in-law, Hazel Hodge, Kokomo, Ind., Ellen Thompson, Iola, and Patti Spillers, Wagner, Okla.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Randles, and a sister, Donna Bergkamp.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Countryside Baptist Church, with Pastor Dusty Cowell presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Elliott Chapel, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.
