Marilyn died peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2008, at her home. She was born and lived most of her life in Parsons, and moved to Hutchinson to be with her son Doug and his wife Carla. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Dr. Clyde McKinney.

As a young woman, Marilyn was actively involved in her local Church in Parsons, and contributed her unique and personalized musical style of the clarinet to the local arts movement playing in various bands and orchestras. Marilyn is survived by her four children: Melissa Partin & HusbandJames, Douglas & Wife Carla, Barry & Wife Kate and Jeffrey & Wife Timarie. Her grandchildren include Evan, Dylan and Courtney.

A small gathering will be held for family and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. July 29th at the Hutchinson Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1302 North Severance Street, Hutchinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to ADRA (Adventist Disaster Relief Association) Foundation or USD 313 Buhler High School Band, in care of Elliott Mortuary.
