Marion E. Hinck, 92, died September 8, 2012, at the Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson, Kansas.

She was born Marion Brown on February 25, 1920, to Hiram H. and Viola Estella Hensley Brown in Pleasant Valley, Kansas. On December 20, 1943, she married Bernard W. Hinck from Ozone Park, Long Island New York at Dodge City. He died June 24, 1987.

She was a long time Hutchinson resident.

Marion was a retired registered nurse having worked as Director of Nursing at Grace Hospital, St Elizabeth's Hospital and the new Hutchinson Hospital.

She was a member of the Dodge City Chapter DAR and was proud of her Cherokee ancestry.

Marion is survived by: three children, a son, Bernard W. Hinck Jr. and wife Barbara, of Hutchinson, two daughters, Toni Noah and husband Lee Silverman of Melbourne, Australia, and Joan Kerr and husband William, Hutchinson; two brothers, Eugene Brown of Dodge City, and George Brown and wife LaDonna of Jetmore; three sisters, Eleanor Hawes of Ford, Coral Schmidt and husband, Harold of Oregon, and Joyce Nantz and husband, Jim, of Vero Beach, Florida; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by infant granddaughter Sandra, two brothers, Jack and H.H. Brown Jr., and sisters, Helen Vannaman, Francis Brown, Wanda Estes-Sanders, and Viola Evelyn Preston.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Bones Nay officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Memorial gifts may be made to Hospice House in care of the mortuary.
