Obituary

Marion Dwight Wilcox, of Partridge, 88, died May 3, 2026, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born April 30, 1938, in Norton, to Joseph and Florence Julia (Davis) Wilcox.

Marion was a graduate of Densmore High School, Norton County. He served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965. Marion worked as a machinist for over 35 years at Cessna and Eaton Corporation. After retiring from Eaton, Marion worked until 85 years old at Walmart assisting with custodial services. He enjoyed travelling with his wife, LaDonna, throughout the United States. Marion could be found tinkering around the house and fixing small projects. He attended Wesleyan and Nazarene churches.

On August 23, 1959, Marion married LaDonna Faye Stevens, in Phillipsburg. They shared nearly 65 years of marriage, prior to her death on July 14, 2024.

Marion is survived by: his children, Lisa Redenbaugh of Partridge, Steven (Tami) Wilcox of Salina; grandchildren, Cody Redenbaugh, Devin Wilcox, Joslyn Wilcox; and many extended family members.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, LaDonna Wilcox; and infant twins.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2026, and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2026, with the family 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday and 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, at Elliott Mortuary. Cremation will follow the visitation. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2026, in Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery, 403 S. 13th, WaKeeney.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to ASPCA, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
