Marjorie L. Delventhal's Obituary
NICKERSON - Marjorie L. Delventhal, 78, died Sept. 23, 2008, at Promise Regional Center, Hutchinson.
She was born Jan. 3, 1930, the daughter of Leo P. and Alice Pearl Cook Roberts. She graduated in 1948, from Hutchinson High School. A lifetime resident of Nickerson, she was a homemaker, and retired from the catalog department at Sears.
She belonged to the First Christian Church, Hutchinson, and was charter member of the Idonna Club, Nickerson.
On Jan. 30, 1950, she married Tommy G. Delventhal, in Eureka Springs, Ark. He survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Randy E., Houston, and Steven M. "Mike," Hutchinson; two daughters, Lana G. Showalter and husband John, Hutchinson, and Amy L. Conner, Hutchinson; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ronald Roberts, and a sister Eva Roberts.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday Sept. 26, 2008, in Partridge Cemetery, with Pastor John Warring presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County, or the American Heart Association, both in care of the funeral home.
