WICHITA - Marjorie M. (Lambert) Sewing, 88, died July 23, 2013, at Lakepoint Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Sept. 17, 1924, in Grenola, Kan., the daughter of Carl and Grace (Arnett) Borneman.

She was a member of Phi Beta Psi Zeta Gamma Chapter Sorority, Zion Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and the VFW. On Jan. 1, 1945, she married Marvin H. "Bud" Sewing. He died Dec. 26, 2007. She is survived by: daughters, Nancy Blake and husband Jack of Wichita, Vickie Sewing and partner Janis Rutschman of Santa Fe, N.M.; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Gordon L. Lucas Jr.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Pastor Robert L. Albin officiating. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
