Marjorie B. Schaben, age 94 years, of Hutchinson, passed away at the Hospice House of Reno County in Hutchinson on December 29, 2017. Marjorie was born on March 13, 1923, in rural Bazine, Kansas. She was one of fifteen children born to Fred A. and Elizabeth (Gross) Erb. She was raised on the family farm and was a homemaker and farmwife. She was a member of Bazine United Methodist Church.

On August 30, 1949, Marjorie married Wayne E. Schaben of Bazine, where they resided on the family farm south of Bazine and raised their family. He died November 14, 2010. Most recently, she lived in Hutchinson.

Marjorie is survived by: children, Charles Schaben and wife Renate of Yucaipa, CA, Cheryl Carey and husband Kim of Sterling, Karen Perry of Denham Springs, LA, Arlyn Schaben and wife Venus of Ogallala, NE, Jonie Shaw and husband Steve of Selden, Kansas; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, Richard, Leona, Evelyn, Geraldine, and Jeannine.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; siblings, Elmer, Earl, Pearl, Fred, Leo, Jeannice, Gracie, Norma, Shirley; a son-in-law; and a granddaughter.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial graveside service will be held at a later date at the Bazine Cemetery, Bazine.
